General Labourer – Coatings Technician (Entry Level)
Location: HERD - 2168 Springfield Road

We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer – Coatings Support to join our team. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment, particularly in surface preparation and coatings application.

What You’ll Be Doing:Support for Coatings Operations
  • Assist with the preparation of parts for coating (cleaning, masking, sanding, hanging/unhanging).
  • Transport materials and finished parts between workstations as required.
  • Organize coated and uncoated parts for efficient workflow and proper inventory handling.
  • Ensure parts are clean, properly labeled, and ready for the next production step.
Maintaining a Clean and Safe Workspace
  • Perform regular cleaning of equipment, tools, and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Dispose of waste materials according to procedures and environmental standards.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and report hazards or concerns to your supervisor.
Learning and Development
  • Receive on-the-job training to develop coating preparation and basic application techniques.
  • Learn to recognize coating defects and assist in basic quality checks under supervision.
  • Progress toward supporting coating application or transitioning into a Coatings Technician role.

  • Manual dexterity and comfort working with hand tools and physical tasks.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
