Laborers in Local 185 are essential members of the construction workforce, performing a wide range of tasks that support building, highway, and infrastructure projects. Our members uphold safety, skill, and solidarity while working in diverse environments.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general construction site duties, including site preparation, cleanup, and material handling.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in concrete placement, demolition, trenching, and backfilling.
  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials to designated areas.
  • Follow all safety regulations, union standards, and project specifications.
