Job description

Beet Receiving Station-Seasonal Laborer
Amalgamated Sugar Company - Mini Cassia District
Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking to fill positions at our beet receiving stations. These are seasonal positions lasting between six to eight weeks and are an excellent pathway to a long-term career at Amalgamated Factories. Areas of assignment include Receiving Station Crew, Piler Operator, Tare Sample, Field Loader Crew and Scale House. Duties may include checking quality assurance of beet crop, tracking samples using a tablet, printing off tickets for beet bags, collecting sugar beet samples, and weighing inbound/ outbound trucks. These positions will start as early as September 8, 2026, with later start dates available as well. The season is short with great opportunity for overtime pay. Pay starts at $17.93/hr to $26.77/hr.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions both hot and cold.
  • Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs.
  • Must be able to perform entry level tasks with basic hand tools
  • Perform general cleaning operations.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age.

Pay: From $17.93 to $26.77 per hour
Schedule:
  • 12+ hour shifts
  • Holidays and weekends as needed
  • OT after 40 hours
