Mission:

Reporting to Site Services Supervisor I, the Site Services Laborer I The Site Services Laborer is an entry-level position within the Site Services team, providing essential physical and logistical support for site operations, maintenance, and cleanup. This role works closely with the Site Services Technicians and reports directly to the Site Services Supervisor I. The Laborer is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment at the Copper World Mine.

This role will be located at the Copper World Project, approximately 45 minutes southwest of Tucson near Sahuarita, Arizona.

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

General Support and Maintenance

  1. Assist Site Services Technicians with routine maintenance and repair tasks on site infrastructure, including basic support for electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and building structures.
  2. Perform general upkeep of office, workshop, and field facilities, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing work areas.
  3. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment around the site as directed.
  4. Assist with minor construction, painting, and landscaping tasks as needed to maintain the site's appearance and functionality.

Safety and Compliance

  1. Maintain a focus on housekeeping to ensure work areas are free of hazards and debris, adhering strictly to company safety protocols.
  2. Participate in regular safety audits and toolbox talks as required by the Supervisor.
  3. Follow all company safety policies and procedures in the performance of all duties.

Logistical and Operational Support

  1. Assist the Supervisor and Technicians with managing inventory by organizing and monitoring the stock of parts, tools, and supplies.
  2. Drive company vehicles, rental vehicles, or a personal vehicle in the course of performing the job.
  3. Follow delegated tasks and instructions from the Site Services Supervisor and Technicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  1. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. No prior formal experience in maintenance is required, but a history of physically demanding work is a plus.

Technical Skills and Abilities

  1. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  2. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  3. Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Physical and Work Requirements

  1. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various conditions.
  2. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  3. The work environment will involve being near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions such as hot and/or dry conditions.
  4. The role requires the physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  5. Must possess a current and valid driver's license.
  6. Must have reliable personal transportation to the site location.
  7. Chosen candidates will be required to successfully pass a physical and drug screening.

  • Current Caterpillar certifications
