What You'll Do
As a Construction Laborer, you'll play an important role in supporting daily construction operations and ensuring projects stay on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist pipe fitters, equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled tradespeople
- Prepare job sites by removing hazards, organizing materials, and maintaining safe work areas
- Load, unload, move, and stage construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, including scaffolding and site supports
- Perform site preparation activities including digging, filling, grading, compacting, and material removal
- Complete drilling and anchoring tasks, including drilling into concrete surfaces
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for construction activities
- Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and safety procedures
- Support general labor functions including cleanup, material handling, and site organization
- Participate in on-the-job training and learn new construction techniques
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment throughout each shift
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of construction labor or general labor experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Experience using a tape measure accurately
- Experience with hand tools including:
- Wrenches
- Hammers
- Basic construction tools
- Experience with power tools including:
- Power drills
- Impact drills
- Ability to drill into concrete and install anchors properly
- Experience handling construction materials, hardware, nuts, and bolts
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Preferred Experience
Candidates with any of the following backgrounds are encouraged to apply:
- Supporting pipe fitters, carpenters, equipment operators, or other skilled trades
- Fresh water infrastructure projects
- Rehabilitation or renovation construction work
- Job Order Contract (JOC) projects
- Industrial or municipal construction environments
- Working effectively within a construction crew setting
Work Environment
This role is based at active construction sites in:
- Brown Road & Loop 202 area – Mesa, AZ
- Broadway Road & Loop 101 area – Mesa, AZ
Schedule
- First Shift
- Start Time: 5:00 AM
- Approximately 8-hour shifts
- Monday through Friday
- No weekend work
- Minimal overtime
The work environment includes active construction zones, industrial equipment, fresh water infrastructure systems, concrete work, material handling, and outdoor conditions. Successful candidates are team-oriented, safety-minded, and ready to work in a hands-on construction setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
