Position Overview
Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join the laboratory team at the new Echo Cliffs Health Center in Bodaway/Gap, Arizona.
The selected candidate will perform specimen processing, testing, analysis, and reporting while ensuring compliance with CLIA standards and organizational policies. The laboratory provides comprehensive testing in a hospital setting with 24-hour laboratory coverage.

Minimum Qualifications
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Education
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 60 semester hours including:
    • 6 semester hours Chemistry
    • 6 semester hours Biology
    • 12 semester hours Laboratory Science
  • OR completion of an approved military laboratory training program
Experience
  • Minimum 6 months of clinical laboratory experience in:
    • Chemistry
    • Hematology
    • Microbiology
    • Blood Bank
  • Clinical training experience accepted if CLIA compliant.
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
  • Minimum 48 semester hours of science coursework including:
    • 12 hours Chemistry (General, Organic, or Biochemistry)
    • 12 hours Biology
    • 24 hours Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Science
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience with rotations in:
    • Blood Bank
    • Chemistry
    • Hematology
    • Microbiology
Certifications
  • ASCP Certification
  • AMT Certification
  • National certification required within 18 months of hire
  • Active certification must be maintained throughout employment
