Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $18.97

Sign-on bonus: $1000.00

What we're looking for

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year(s) of laboratory experience and/or applicable work experience

  • 1+ year of glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience

  • Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility strongly desired

  • Strong communication skills

Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  • Pick up and wash dirty glassware

  • Autoclave glassware and tubing

  • Restock all clean glassware

  • Assemble tubing

  • Disassemble bioreactors

  • Dispose of cell waste and media

  • Check and inspect eyewash stations once a week

  • Maintain metrics of washed, autoclaved, repurposed material and MBP waste items

  • Manage inventory of gas cylinders and dewars, place orders, and connect and disconnect the product.

  • Provides daily customer service functions and communicates with the customer.

  • Responsible for all customer service related functions including but not limited to: order entry, reporting, maintaining metrics, and cost savings tracking..
