Frontage Laboratories Inc. is an award winning, full-service, CRO/Contract Research Organization operating over 25 state-of-the-art laboratories across the US, Canada and China. Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Job Description

The Senior Service Engineer is a specialized role responsible for providing high-level technical support, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting for metrology equipment and systems in our 760 Exton location located on Pennsylvania Drive. This position requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex service operations.

General Support Responsibilities Include

  • Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of metrology equipment.
  • Document all service activities, including calibration reports, service records, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting steps in a timely and organized manner.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for internal teams, ensuring that all procedures and results meet the quality assurance standards.
  • Contact suppliers, improve methods, perform equipment maintenance, introduce new equipment, and so on.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to work the 9am to 5:30pm shift with 30-minute unpaid lunch (M-F).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metrology, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
  • M.S preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • A good knowledge of Hamilton, INTEGRA, LynX, Tecan, Tomtec and so on.
  • Strong background in calibration, troubleshooting, and the maintenance of metrology equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of metrology principles, calibration techniques, and measurement standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in an understandable way.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests effectively.
  • Capable of recording experimental data and using computer software (e.g., Excel, SPSS) for data processing and analysis.
  • Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong learning ability.
