Location: Covington, KY
Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour
Job Type: Contingent / Temporary
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sample Management Associate to support laboratory operations in Covington, KY. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in a laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environment.

The position provides training in sample and standard handling, inventory tracking, documentation, storage requirements, and laboratory support activities. The successful candidate will be comfortable following detailed procedures and maintaining accurate records with modest direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample and inventory tracking activities, including:

    • Receiving samples and materials

    • Check-in and login

    • Labeling

    • Inventory tracking

    • Sample transportation

    • Check-out

    • Storage

  • Provide administrative support to the Sample Management department.

  • Assist the Sample Coordinator with laboratory requests and daily activities.

  • Maintain accurate sample and inventory records according to SOPs.

  • Communicate task status and issues to supervisors and appropriate laboratory personnel.

  • Complete training on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and sample storage requirements.

  • Follow established procedures for proper sample handling and storage.

  • Support responses to environmental unit alarms as trained.

  • May participate in on-call responsibilities.

  • Complete daily assignments accurately, on time, and safely.

  • Work collaboratively with laboratory and Sample Management personnel.

  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation throughout daily activities.

QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma, secondary school diploma, or equivalent.

  • Relevant academic, vocational, or technical training may be considered.

  • 0–1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Ability to follow SOPs, written procedures, and detailed instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge, including Word and Excel.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
