Where is the work:

What you will do:
  • Provides technical assistance on equipment maintenance and repair of many types and brands of warm and cold laboratory equipment products and may include walk-in units.
  • Ensures laboratory equipment operates to manufacturer and customers' requirements.
  • Uses precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklist, and daily time sheets.
  • Perform IQ/OQ/PQ, Validations, and equipment qualifications
  • Perform equipment installations according to manufacturer requirements

Key Competencies:
  • This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for LSS service customers covering warm and cold laboratory equipment.
  • This role plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by performing skilled maintenance and repair services.
  • Aptitude to interpret piping and electrical schematics and utilize a variety of hand tools and instruments to evaluate equipment.
  • Diagnose and analyze control circuits on variety of laboratory equipment. Operate and navigate control systems.
  • Aptitude to troubleshoot complex control circuits on laboratory equipment.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance inspections, installations, and service requests, including part replacements as required by customers in a laboratory setting.
  • Precision calibration of various laboratory equipment.
  • Aptitude to read, understand, and follow company SOPs for all work.
  • This role is a blend of refrigeration and electro/mechanical knowledge and responsible for diagnosing and repair of refrigeration systems, control systems, utilizing knowledge of electronics, digital controls, cascade and basic refrigeration theory, and control and mechanical techniques in the laboratory setting.
  • Experience with Temperature mapping preferred

Responsibilities:
  • This role plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by performing skilled maintenance and repair services on many brands and types of equipment.
  • Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contract and must communicate effectively with customers during on site services.
  • Responsible for servicing products and ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, and repairing laboratory equipment at customer's laboratory setting.
  • Utilizes software and technology, hand tools and metrology instrumentation, and following schematics to perform basic diagnoses of units.
  • Perform refrigerant recovery and charging on refrigeration systems. Apply techniques to use pressure gauges and interpret measurement findings.
  • Participates in on-call rotation schedule
  • Up to 50% travel required, both Domestic and International

What you will bring:
  • Relative Work Experience - at least 2 years transferable work experience.
  • Education: High school diploma. Completed HVACR trade school training, or equivalent.
  • Certifications / Licenses: EPA certification TYPE I & II required, Universal certification preferred. Must hold valid driver's license.
  • Computer Systems / Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
