Description
Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support engineering services, energetic materials manufacturing, and technical programs at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD). This role supports program execution across engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and safety operations in support of the Energetics Engineering Services Support (ESS) effort.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing technical programs and subcontract execution, including project planning, resource management, scheduling, reporting, and coordination of engineering and manufacturing efforts. This position requires experience supporting complex technical programs and the ability to manage cost, schedule, and performance in a dynamic environment.

This role is critical to ensuring successful execution of engineering services by coordinating technical resources, maintaining program documentation, and supporting reporting requirements in accordance with contract deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide senior project management support to technical and management staff
• Manage subcontract tasks using structured project management practices and tools compatible with Microsoft Office 365
• Plan, coordinate, and execute project activities across engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and safety task areas
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource plans, and task execution strategies
• Track and report project cost, schedule, and performance metrics
• Prepare and submit monthly progress reports and financial reports in accordance with contract requirements
• Maintain and submit biweekly consolidated timecard reporting in required formats
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and safety teams to support program execution
• Support development of program documentation, schedules, and administrative materials
• Schedule and support monthly status meetings with program leadership
• Track personnel certifications, training requirements, and compliance records
• Maintain personnel access records for facilities and systems
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements
• Support execution across multiple SOW task areas as required
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational objectives

Qualifications:
Required:
• Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Must have interim clearance before start date)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of project/program management experience supporting technical programs
• Experience managing projects in manufacturing, production, engineering, or industrial environments
• Experience managing projects in engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments
• Experience with project scheduling, reporting, and resource coordination
• Experience supporting cost, schedule, and performance tracking
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, safety, and government teams

Preferred:
• Experience supporting energetics, ammunition, explosives, or defense programs
• Experience working at NSWC Indian Head or similar DoD environments
• Familiarity with contract reporting requirements and CDRLs
• Experience supporting multi-disciplinary technical teams
• Experience supporting government contracts and program execution environments
