SUMMARY

Responsible for administering and overseeing standard chemistry laboratory policies, programs, and practices to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and quality standards. Provides technical and administrative support to Scientists in maintaining all aspects of laboratory operations, including adherence to laboratory support procedures, completion of required documentation, forms, and database records. Supports the handling and management of various sample types, including environmental, biological, and chemical samples. Manages laboratory housekeeping activities, coordinates maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials, and oversees inventory control to ensure adequate availability of laboratory supplies and resources.

Compensation: $20.00 - 25.00 per hour

Essential Functions

  • Prepare the laboratory for daily operations by stocking supplies, organizing materials, ensuring equipment readiness, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Support analytical testing activities through proper sample handling, storage, quarantine, tracking, and disposal in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collect, transport, and distribute samples, documentation, materials, and other laboratory-related items as required.
  • Review, complete, maintain, and process laboratory logs, records, documentation, databases, and related information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide technical and administrative support regarding laboratory policies, procedures, programs, and best practices.
  • Assist in investigating laboratory and operational issues, conducting research, and developing recommendations for process improvements and issue resolution.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of laboratory support policies, procedures, and programs to meet operational and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, and company policies, escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency and effectiveness by participating in team initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote a collaborative and professional work environment through effective communication, teamwork, and customer-focused service.
  • Oversee and/or process chemistry and biochemistry documentation, forms, databases, and records while maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Clean, maintain, prepare, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment and work areas to ensure operational readiness.
  • Manage laboratory housekeeping activities and maintain organized, compliant, and inspection-ready workspaces.
  • Monitor laboratory supply inventories, coordinate replenishment activities, and maintain adequate stock levels to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
