Pharmaceutical Lab Assistant

Coral Springs, FL
Schedule:
Second shift (typically 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Salary range: $20-$21/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Lab Assistant to support inhalation and formulation laboratories on the second shift. In this role, you will help maintain workflow efficiency by cleaning, inspecting, and organizing laboratory glassware and equipment, monitoring chemical inventories, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support MDI, DPI, and formulation teams by preparing and handling labware to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Transport used labware to the cleaning area and operate washers and dryers to ensure thorough decontamination.
  • Inspect cleaned labware for damage or wear; remove and dispose of compromised items.
  • Store sanitized glassware and equipment in designated areas, keeping inventory organized and accessible.
  • Perform routine checks on chemical stocks for expiration; safely discard expired materials following SOPs.
  • Accurately document cleaning activities and complete GMP quality records as required.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline labware handling processes and propose improvements.
  • Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Exhibit a customer-first mindset when interacting with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, adhering to professional business language.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma, technical school certificate, or industrial certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical or laboratory setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and GMP documentation.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 15 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the lab environment.
  • Work performed primarily in a laboratory setting, wearing appropriate PPE.
