Job Description

The System Administrator position is based throughout the USA and will assist in the implementation and maintenance of laboratory systems such as LabWare LIMS and Empower CDS. The position will create and maintain necessary procedures, assist in the configuration/customization of the system and provide training to staff members. This position requires flexibility with changing priorities. 


Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and maintenance activities
  • Configures and customizes system
  • Integrate instruments
  • Conducts user-training sessions for users
  • Performs entry and edit of all relevant static data
  • Acts as liaison between internal laboratory users and vendor to address various system issues Evaluates product enhancements and capabilities, in addition to implementing upgrades as required
Qualifications

A qualified candidate will possess:

  • Two years+ experience supporting laboratory systems in a R&D or QC laboratory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated working understanding of laboratory operations and practices strong organizational and/or project management skills
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects for different business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in chemistry or related discipline is preferred.
