The Laboratory Assistant Outreach/Mobile Phlebotomist will act as a travel phlebotomist supporting assigned nursing home(s) throughout the Miami-Dade/Broward counties. In this role you will draw patient specimens. You will deliver those specimens to our nearest rapid response labs within our facilities to centrifuge and package for courier delivery to our core laboratory. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Ask about “On Call” incentives. 

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform venipunctures on adults and geriatric patients
  • Perform specimen collection and testing
  • Process, sort and prepare specimens for submission to referral laboratories for testing 
  • Centrifuge and aliquot specimens appropriately and prepare specimens for courier pick-up 

What Qualifications you will need:

  • A completed high school diploma or GED
  • A vocational/technical diploma
  • A phlebotomy certificate is beneficial
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Reliable transportation
