Job description

An HDD General Laborer performs manual labor tasks and assists with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) projects. This role involves preparing the work site, loading and unloading materials, assisting with drilling fluid mixing, and cleaning up the work area. They may also assist with utility locating, potholing, and pipe handling.

Responsibilities:
  • Work Site Preparation: Prepare the work site for drilling, including locating utilities and eliminating hazards.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
  • Drilling Fluid Assistance: Assist with mixing and cleaning up drilling fluid.
  • Utility Locating and Potholing: Assist with locating utilities and potholing.
  • Pipe Handling: Assist with handling, fusing, and joining pipe sections.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools and power tools as needed.
  • Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Qualifications:
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, standing, and bending.
