Job description

Sanipac, a Waste Connections company is looking for a safety conscious Yard Laborer to join the team in Eugene, Oregon.
Schedule: 4/10 Schedule, Mon-Fri, (Days may be non-consecutive )
4:00am-2:30pm with occasional overtime
Driver's License Required: Must have a clean driving record.
MUST PASS:
  • DOT drug screening
  • Criminal background check
  • Motor vehicle record screening

Competitive Compensation: Starting Pay $24.53/hr

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manual labor including paper picking, keeping yard clean and presentable.
  • Washing, repairing, and assembling trash bins and containers
  • Traffic management.
  • Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
  • Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
  • Working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Operates skid steer and forklift.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises
  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid Driver's License with Clean driving record.
  • Pass Criminal Background Check, Drug panel Screening, and Motor Vehicle Report
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.
