What you will do:

Ferroglobe has an immediate opening for a dedicated Plant Laborer to join operations team. This role is crucial for the daily operations, providing hands-on support in various tasks related to the processing and handling of materials. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking individual who values safety, teamwork, and is committed to contributing to the efficient operation of our facility.

· Material Handling: Safely operate and manage the equipment used for unloading and transporting materials such as sand, lime, etc.

· Equipment Operation: Utilize a variety of heavy machinery and equipment such as lift-truck, skid steer, pay loader, and shovels, following all safety protocols and operational guidelines.

· Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance checks and cleaning of machinery and work areas to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met.

· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Participate in safety training sessions and drills.

· Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs. Report any issues to supervisors promptly.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks. Communicate effectively to report progress or concerns.


What we seek:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.

· Previous experience in a labor-intensive role, preferably in heavy industrial or construction environment.

· Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate heavy machinery and equipment.

· Strong commitment to safety and understanding of workplace safety regulations.

· Physical fitness and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditions and environments.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
