Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Motor Cleaning Helper who can also serve as a company driver. This position involves assisting with the cleaning and preparation of electric motors and parts for repair, as well as driving to pick up and deliver motors and components to customer locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist mechanics with cleaning, degreasing, and prepping motors and parts.

·       Use cleaning solvents, power washers, and hand tools safely and effectively.

·       Load and unload motors and equipment from company vehicles.

·       Drive company truck or van to pick up and deliver motors, parts, and supplies to customers and vendors.

·       Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or missing items.

·       Maintain a clean and organized shop work area.

·       Follow all Singer Electric safety procedures and Cal/OSHA standards.

·       Assist in other shop duties as assigned by the foreman.

Qualifications:

·       Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record (required).

·       Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor.

·       Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn motor repair processes.

·       Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

·       Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team environment.

·       Previous experience in an industrial, warehouse, or motor shop setting preferred.
