Are you a skilled Scrub Tech looking for an opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic operating room environment? Do you thrive in high-pressure situations where your expertise can directly impact patient outcomes? Join our healthcare partner in Vail, CO, where your skills will be valued and your contributions will be recognized. As a Scrub Tech, you will assist during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field and providing instrumentation as needed to the surgical team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of quality related to patient care, functioning under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
In this role, you will:
  • Possess expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, applying knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
  • Maintain and check all items for proper packaging and expiration, ensuring a safe operating room environment.
  • Monitor the sterile field for contamination and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Work towards competency with Tier 1 surgical cases.
  • Contribute to the ongoing delivery of individualized care within the scope of practice.
  • Communicate effectively with the perioperative team, participating fully in Time Out Processes.
  • Assist in patient transports, room turnovers, and preparation.
  • Stay current with new technologies and procedures, including instrumentation and equipment.
  • Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
  • Model professional behavior and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist.
  • Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Need 1 year experience in setting.
  • Possess or obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days.
  • Working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking.
