About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Frankfort, Kentucky, 40601!

Job Title

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Location

Frankfort, Kentucky

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a 7-bed L&D unit with an associated Mother/Baby unit and Level 2 NICU/Newborn Nursery
  • Manage and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and induction of labor (Cook catheter, Cervidil, oxytocin)
  • Circulate for cesarean sections as required
  • Perform IV insertion, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, foley catheter placement, and epidural assistance
  • Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, Corometrics 250 series Fetal Monitor, Monica monitor, and Ranger fluid warmer
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal (CPN) EMR systems
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting
  • Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
  • Active Kentucky RN license or Compact license valid in Kentucky (required at time of submission)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • 5 or more years of Labor & Delivery experience
  • Experience with IUFD management and high-acuity obstetric patients
  • Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and/or Centricity Perinatal documentation systems
