Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible...
  • To lead Design, Release, Validation, and Launch of all unique labels for new model vehicle programs.
  • For all phases of engineering and integration - design concept, production release, validation, product launch.
  • To map Monroney Label Fuel Economy and Compliance Labels Process Flow
  • To conduct Design validation process (DV/ PV) with reports for compliance
  • For program launches with onsite support
  • For release and ergonomic feasibility for all unique labels on time, within cost and weight targets to meet performance objectives.
  • To support current production and quality efforts
  • For full end to end unique Label map deployment and analysis.

What you'll do...
  • Manage the design, development, release and production implementation of components and subsystems that meet a complex set of customer, program, governmental, and legal requirements and regulations with on time deliverables
  • Lead/Support Team of Four meetings and sourcing deliverables with Purchasing, Finance, and Suppliers (Statement of Work (ESOW), Engineering Concepts (EC), Bill of material (FEDEBOM)).
  • Engineering Lead to key program milestone events (PS, PSC, UPV1, PA, FDJ, PEC).
  • Assure conformance to the Ford Global Generic Label Matrix (GGLM) per LQOS 570.
  • Engineering lead for FEDEBOM/WERS release final designs for all unique labels.
  • Ensure Signoff for all vehicle builds (TDC, DCV, TT, PP) at multiple locations.
  • Assure conformance to all applicable Ford, regulatory requirements, CDPR assessments cascaded by ASO/E&SC.
  • Ensure Completion of all component FMA documentation including DFMEA, SCCAFs, , and CPAs.
  • Validate designs through the Ford design validation process (DV/ PV) with reports for compliance.
  • Development of Label map deployment and map of Monroney Label Fuel Economy and Compliance Labels Process Flow.
  • Lead launch efforts with audit reviews and issue management resolution.
  • Monitor AIMs, DURIS, Warranty Trends and react to any issues and follow to closure.
  • Support team in work with VO to ensure component package meets assembly and ergonomic targets.
  • Support team and work with VO and supplier to develop proper dunnage.
  • Interface and maintain collaborative relationship with Core Vehicle Hardware Engineering Labels Organization.
  • Labels PD activities interfacing with:
  • Label map deployment and analysis.
  • Label Testing
  • Supplier, STA, Purchasing
  • VO / Quality / PVT
  • Interface with ASO and E&SC

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ Years experience Automotive Setting.
  • Design and release experience.
  • REG labels integration experience.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.,
This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.,
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.,
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
