JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as defined by Viant policies, practices & procedures to insure that FDA & ISO regulations & quality standards are met  
  • Assembles components  
  • May be required to operate packaging machine  
  • Performs Bar sealing/Tray sealing duties  
  • Performs pad printing duties  
  • Assembles & inspects components with tight tolerances, complex & miniature geometry  
  • Operates Laser and resistance welding equipment  
  • Inspects & assembles components under magnification  
  • Uses advanced dexterity required to work with very/small miniature components & equipment  
  • Performs equipment intensive assembly processes, makes adjustments if required & authorized by procedures  
  • Retains complex assembly process instructions once taught, does not require frequent retraining  
  • Follows all safety procedures as required by internal & external guidelines and policies   
  • Maintain & follow 5s principles in all work areas at all times  
  • Participate in rapid movement events  
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

Knowledge/Education:  

  • High School diploma & equivalent certification preferred  

  

Job Experience:  

  • One year external manufacturing work experience    

Skills/Competencies:  

  • Ability to read, understand & follow specification sheets  
  • Basic mathematical skills to understand tolerances & variation  
  • Ability to use measuring devices & hand tools  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision  
  • Basic understanding of hand tools (Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)  
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated & organized   
  • Ability to clearly communicate any concerns or issues back to support staff verbally & written
