Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate press-ready files based on supplied specifications; make changes as necessary to meet customer approval.
  • Collaborate closely with prepress, customer service, production, and sales personnel about layout, design, and specifications.
  • Utilize knowledge and understanding of prepress and printing capabilities of RLG equipment (flexographic and digital).
  • Prepare concept art by designing examples of art arrangement, size, typography, and style.
  • Participate in prepress activities such as trapping, overprinting, remapping of colors, knockouts, bleeding, and color correction.
  • Troubleshoot design and printing issues.
  • Review final layouts and copy.
  • Follow product timelines to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, design, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a graphic designer, graphic artist or a related field.
  • Demonstrated graphic design and typographic skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of printing processes and software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator) and MS Office.
  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Understanding of production, product packaging and advertisements.
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
