Job description

Job Title: Label and Inventory Coordinator

Reports To: Plant Manager (dotted line to Production Planner)

Position Summary

The Label Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and quality of all product labeling within the facility. This role supports production operations by managing label inventory, verifying incoming materials, printing labels as needed, maintaining label printing equipment, and coordinating closely with the Production Planner and labeling team. The position also provides administrative and system support within Deacom and serves as a backup for planning-related functions as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming labels to ensure accuracy against specifications and production requirements
  • Manage label inventory, including organization, tracking usage, and minimizing shortages or obsolescence
  • Coordinate with the labeling team to ensure proper label application, quality standards, and job accuracy
  • Maintain label printing equipment, including routine cleaning, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
  • Order label printer supplies and manage associated inventory levels to support continuous operations
  • Print labels in-house as needed to support operations, including tote labels, sample labels, and other time-sensitive or short-run labeling requirements when external supply is not feasible
  • Collaborate with the Production Planner to support scheduling activities and ensure label readiness aligns with production needs
  • Upload closed batch records and manage required documents within Deacom to support production and planning processes
  • Serve as a backup for closing production jobs in the Planner’s absence
  • Perform inventory verification activities, including physical checks and reconciliation of label-related materials
  • Conduct routine cycle counts as assigned and support overall inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies in labels, inventory, or documentation and assist in resolving issues
  • Maintain organized records and documentation related to label inventory, usage, and compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment cleaning and minor adjustments
