Job description

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm 
 
Job Function: The Press Operator Support is responsible for providing assistance to the Press Operators by supplying all machines with the appropriate raw materials and tooling including; inks, rolls of basestock materials, and tooling. The Press Operator Support is also responsible for ensuring all raw materials and tooling are managed and stored correctly. Assists the Press Operator in setup and cleanup of press ink stations. 
 
** Mandatory paid onsite training** 
 
Typical Duties Include:
1)    Lifting and carrying heavy items with help from safety equipment to press.
2)    Cleaning press ink stations, tooling, printing plates and work areas.
3)    Transfer printed rollstock to rewinding department 
4)    Assist with rewinding and packaging orders when assistance from press operators is not needed    
 
Physical Requirements: Standing for prolonged periods of time. Walking, squatting, and lifting rolls. Must have good eyesight and manual agility. 
 
Work Environment: Non-climate controlled warehouse. Noisy environment. Safety protective equipment provided. 
 
Machines used: Material slitter, label rewinder, and tooling cleaner. 
 
Reporting relationships: The Press Operator Assistant reports to the following persons; Press Operators, Production Manager, and General Manager. 
 
Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. (General Educational Development) 
 
Job Knowledge/Skills Required:
1)    Ability to use ruler 
2)    Communication skills
3)    Completion of in-house training as approved by Lead Rewinder or Production Manager.  
4)    Good team member
