Overview:
Business Title: Lab Support Technician I
Position Title: Lab Support Technician I
Division: Consumer Products Services
Entity: ATL
Location: Mason, OH
Reports to: Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week.
However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Lab Support Technician I is responsible for working as a member of the Hair Care PTL Team and requires the ability to follow laboratory procedures and methods, accurately report data and have effective communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
It is everyone's responsibility to live out our Values and Absolutes by Shaping a World of Trust while ensuring responsible progress.
• Method development by collaborating with client on testing, experimenting and observation of products.
• Operate various laboratory equipment to characterize shampoo and conditioner products.
• Ability to make adjustments to equipment or protocol to determine feasibility of method on products
• Conduct experimentation to support changes to established methods or to create new methods.
• Data entry and reporting through the LIMS system (Nexus)
• Utilize data analysis tools to guide refinement of methods.
• Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Comply with clients and Company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
• Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the Company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
• Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System.
• Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.
Skills & Proficiencies:
• Demonstrate effective communication within work team and with clients.
• Client collaboration and ability to pivot based on client instruction.
• Ability to articulate in a positive manner all information to the client.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, JMP experience preferred.
• Keen observation skills.
• Must be results oriented and high level of attention to detail.
• Good math skills; recognition of when data generated does not make sense.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new digital workflows and systems as improvements are made.
• Ability to identify issues with digital workflows and communicate effectively with teams to troubleshoot the issues.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills for success in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Compensation Range: $18 - $22 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
