Job SummaryFlagship Facility Services is seeking a Life Science Lab Technician II to join our dynamic and growing Lab Services division.
Summary
Working in a dynamic life science building and reporting to the Lab Support Supervisor/Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate and perform routine laboratory operations to support client programs and daily tasks. Responsibilities include Glasswash operations, maintaining dry ice, gas, and personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies, and ensuring proper lab support coverage.
This role also involves managing the day-to-day activities of junior personnel in a safe and compliant manner while delivering best-in-class customer service throughout the laboratory environment.Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations and corporate policies/procedures related to building operations and work safety
  • Glasswash operations (collection, washing, drying, and redistribution)
  • Inventory tracking and PAR level management of glassware
  • Autoclave operation and maintenance
  • Lab cleaning and organization (benches, hoods, shared spaces)
  • Cold room, freezer, and refrigerator organization and defrosting
  • Dry ice management and distribution
  • Gas cylinder monitoring, change-outs, and inventory tracking
  • PPE stocking and compliance monitoring
  • Performs eyewash and safety shower testing monthly
  • Responsible for biohazardous and sharps waste consolidation
  • Maintain filter flask set-ups in cell culture areas
  • Responsible for compiling and submitting orders lists for supplies and inventory
  • Compiles and generates departmental reports related to lab operations, inventory levels, safety compliance, and service activity
  • Other tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2+ years industry experience or 2-4 years academic lab experience required.
  • Manages record-keeping activities as required.
  • Excellent communication skills with customer service mindset.
  • Strong time management and task management abilities.
  • Able to effectively complete tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
