Schedule:

  • 10 hour days--mainly M-F, day (with the exception of call)

  • .9 FTE (36 hours per week)

  • Call one night per week and every 4th weekend

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direct patient care activities in theCathLab& other applicable procedural areasimplementing anoutcome-basedplan of care

  • Conductsan initialassessment and ongoing assessments

  • Performs indirect patient care activities tomaintaindepartment standards

  • Based on principles of growth and development, provides careappropriate totheage-relatedneeds of the patients served on his/her assigned unit

  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicableFederal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and proceduresin order toensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior

General Requirements:

  • Associate degreerequired,BSN preferred.

  • Minimum 2years' experiencein Cath Lab or special procedures lab preferred or 3 years critical care experience preferred

  • Current Iowa RN license

  • BLS

  • ACLS

  • Mandatory Reporter.

  • Intermediate language, high math, highreasoning ability.

  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

  • Ability to work under pressure and with a large degree of independence.

  • Critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to perform within a team andgood timemanagement skills.

  • Strong knowledgebaseincardiac anatomy,physiologyand Cardiac care.

  • Must be able to analyze and interpret basic EKG tracings.

  • Knowledge of cardiac medications, hemodynamicmonitoringand fundamentals of sterile technique.
