Job description

Purpose within the Organization:
The purpose of this position is to assist the College of Natural Sciences with administrative duties related to maintenance of the labs. Lab Assistant positions are open in Biology and Chemistry.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
  • Assisting Lab staff for the preparation of labs
  • Assisting with up-keep and supply monitoring for the labs
  • Responsible following all safety guidelines and instructions
  • Work tasks would include keeping the labs presentable
  • Restocking supplies
  • Completing tasks as assigned by the lab staff.
  • Independently working to prepare materials and to be available to instructors if they have questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
  • Science Major with relevant coursework.
  • Ability to set and follow a schedule.
  • Must be able to comply with safety protocols (training will be provided).

Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
