Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries.

Every day you will utilize your expertise and our advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests.ย

To be successful in this role, you will possess a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and maintain an eager commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Practice positive patient identification and ensure proper specimen labeling
  • Greet and communicate with patients and team members with professionalism and HumanKindness
  • Process and organize specimens for department distribution with speed and accuracy
  • Handle send-out lab testing, including packaging and documentation for external labs
  • Assist with blood collection following proper venipuncture and capillary techniques (if phlebotomy is part of the role)
  • Support clerical tasks and workflow needs to ensure the lab operates smoothly
  • Collaborate with lab team members to resolve issues and maintain high-quality serviceย 
Job Requirements
  • High school graduation or GED.
  • Minimum of six (6) months as a laboratory phlebotomist
  • California Phlebotomy Certification is required.
