Job description

Title:                Engineering Technician
Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing
Duration:         24 Months (ext possible)
Location:         Milan, IL 61264
Shift:                3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Role Summary

  • Perform instrumented tests to verify machine performance
  • Support product verification & validation (ADV group)

Key Duties

  • Set up and run lab/field tests
  • Install instrumentation & collect data
  • Develop data acquisition programs
  • Prepare test reports for design teams
  • Guide test operators
  • Coordinate with shop & field teams

Test Setup & Operations

  • Assemble test rigs (hand tools, cranes, hydraulics, cables)
  • Lift up to 25 lbs; bending/kneeling required
  • Monitor & adjust test controls
  • Inspect & repair test specimens
  • Document all test activity (web-based system)
  • Perform emergency shutdowns if needed
  • Maintain & clean lab
