American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Oct 5, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience and a compact or Maine RN license. Details Work in the Interventional Services unit of a 70-bed hospital with 5 bays and 1 procedure room Care for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient populations Perform cardiac cath and angiogram procedures along with IR cases such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and nephrostomy tube placement Administer and recover patients from sedation, including arterial access recovery Uses Cerner charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing system Rotating day shifts Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM Weekend rotation required once per month with on-call hours 10AM-1PM Saturday and Sunday On-call responsibilities include one night per week from 4PM-6PM plus rotating weekends No floating required Requirements Active RN license, compact or Maine license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology Experience administering and recovering sedation patients Experience working within a multidisciplinary team Additional Information Provide direct patient care in cardiac cath and interventional radiology procedures under supervision of an RN unit supervisor Orientation length determined based on experience level RTO requests require manager approval Procedural scrubs provided by facility Free parking available on-site Flu vaccination required for clearance to start, with medical exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Radius requirement applies based on permanent address distance from the facility, subject to case-by-case approval Candidates with prior permanent employment at the health system are not eligible American Traveler Job ID P-750493.
