Quality Generalist 

Quality Generalist

As a Quality Generalist, you are responsible for driving ISO, quality, sampling, stewardship compliance, and related programs at the site, ensuring alignment with applicable procedures and quality standards; You oversee and support the site's manufacturing of quality products and serve as a key partner in maintaining product, process, and system quality across plant and field operations.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be accountable for all areas of quality, including product, process, and system quality for plant and field operations;
  • Own manufacturing document control for quality and ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant;
  • Partner with Regional Quality, Manufacturing Excellence, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure critical parameters are in place to deliver product right the first time and keep the customer at the center of operations;
  • Support complaint management by determining corrective actions, ensuring follow-up, and measuring and reporting cost of poor-quality occurrences;
  • Ensure stewardship processes are understood, consistently utilized throughout manufacturing, and reported as expected;
  • Assure departmental and cross-functional teams are trained in all aspects of quality and that quality expectations are clearly communicated;
  • Oversee lab operations to ensure processes are executed accurately and operational goals and metrics are achieved;
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact for quality-related matters, including best-practice sharing;
  • Maintain the site Quality Management System in accordance with internal and external requirements and generate site Quality Management Reviews;
  • Ensure specifications and regulatory requirements within ISO systems are implemented at the site and support an effective internal audit program;
  • Support implementation of global and regional quality initiatives, programs, and regulations to continuously enhance site performance.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 4 years relevant experience;
  • Valid driver's license, with a driving record that meets company guidelines to be eligible to drive a company vehicle; Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (for example, a bag of seed);
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require;

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners;
  • Ability to support others in completing assigned tasks and contribute to a culture of accountability;
  • Strong commitment to following policies and procedures and upholding quality and stewardship standards;
  • MBA is preferred as it further strengthens your ability to drive strategic quality initiatives and business-focused decision-making.

Posting is available until July 22, 2026.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $83,280.00 - $124,920.00. Compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
