Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Location: Roanoke, VA

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Location

Roanoke, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM | On-call required

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub and circulator roles across a high-volume cath lab environment serving adult patients across 6 procedure rooms with a daily census of 15–20
  • Assist with advanced cardiac procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, TAVR, Watchman, and MitraClip
  • Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic support devices including IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS
  • Apply sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, and rapid response protocols
  • Participate in on-call rotation: 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts per 6-week period, including one full weekend of call (Friday–Sunday) and one Saturday elective shift; must be able to return to the facility within 30 minutes when called
  • Document all patient care using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license (any active state license accepted; Virginia emergency authorization available while permanent VA license is processing)
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
  • Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures in a diagnostic and interventional setting using fluoroscopy
  • Experience with scrub technique and sterile field management
  • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on address on Driver's License only); local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with advanced structural heart procedures such as TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, CardioMEMS, and mitral clips
  • Familiarity with research protocols and complex interventional cardiovascular cases
  • Background in managing patients with coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and ASD/PFO closures
  • Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or Level I Trauma Center environment
