Summary of the Role: This is an entry-level position within the Extraction Laboratory responsible for supporting day-to-day production activities in compliance with all state medical marijuana regulations and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role assists with the manufacturing, storage, and maintenance of equipment and materials used in extraction and infused product processes. Key responsibilities include material preparation, product packaging, inventory tracking, recordkeeping, and quality control throughout the production workflow. While the primary focus is on material preparation and product pack-out, this position may also support extraction, packaging or Cultivation operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
General Lab Operations
  • Prepare materials for production in both the Troche Lab and Extraction Lab.
  • Clean and sanitize lab surfaces, tools, glassware, and equipment before and after use.
  • Support extraction technicians and lab supervisiorwith day-to-day production tasks and equipment setup/breakdown.
  • Assist with weighing, measuring, mixing, and recording materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Production & Processing Support
  • Assist with filling vape cartridges and RSO syringes, ensuring accuracy in volume, labeling, and compliance.
  • Support winterization and filtration processes, including handling solvents, monitoring temperatures, and managing timing in accordance with SOPs.
  • Help set up, operate, and clean rotary evaporators (rotovaps) under supervision, following all safety and solvent-handling protocols.
  • Prepare biomass ("socks") and other materials for extraction runs, ensuring proper labeling and batch tracking.

Quality & Compliance
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and state regulations governing extraction and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs for extractions, production batches, and equipment use.
  • Ensure all finished products meet quality assurance standards before packaging and distribution.
  • Report any deviations, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns immediately to supervisory staff.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Extraction Technicians, Extraction Supervisor, and cross-functional team members to support production goals.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support overall lab operations and organizational objectives.

Position Requirements:
  • High attention to detail and personal and professional accountability
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies
  • Experience with MJ Freeway or any inventory management system
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Google workspaces
  • Basic Mechanical skills
  • Be able to get to the facility with reliable transportation
  • Kitchen background is preferred but not required
  • Laboratory experience is preferred but not required

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work around plants, cannot have allergies to plants or plant environment.
  • Work can be dirty/sticky and may leave you smelling like cannabis at the end of the day.
  • Work will be in a warehouse setting: temperatures may vary from warm to cool.
  • Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
