What You'll Do:
• Serve as Program Director: maintain CoARC accreditation and all programmatic approvals; implement long-range plans, policies, and budgets; manage facilities, equipment, and inventory
• Coordinate course offerings, teaching assignments, and faculty recruitment/orientation; supervise adjunct and full-time faculty; conduct observations, feedback, and evaluations.
• Lead assessment of program outcomes; prepare annual reports and board documentation; ensure compliance with accrediting/licensing bodies.
• Host Program Advisory Committee meetings (twice yearly) and maintain minutes; strengthen clinical and employer partnerships.
• Teach assigned respiratory therapy courses; facilitate critical thinking and integrate didactic, lab, and clinical experiences aligned with current practice.
• Develop/refine syllabi, lab modules, and course materials; select textbooks, equipment, and instructional technologies; maximize use of advanced classroom and simulation tools.
• Supervise students in clinical settings (local and out-of-town as needed); coordinate clinical education design and scheduling with the didactic curriculum.jobs.
• Recruit, admit, advise, and retain students; monitor progress; provide formative/summative feedback; coordinate graduation, certification/licensure, and pinning activities.
• Maintain student files and program records per accreditation and college requirements; ensure accurate attendance, grades, and reporting timelines.
• Participate in college committees, convocation, recruitment events, and professional development; represent the program and college professionally.
Required Qualifications:
• An associate degree may be accepted if the applicant is currently enrolled in a baccalaureate program or plans to enroll and complete a baccalaureate program within two years of hire date.
• A minimum of four years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two years in clinical respiratory care. A minimum of two years teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs. Must complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program.
• Candidates must have good instructional techniques; computer knowledge; student-centered attitude; and must be well organized.
• Candidate must possess a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and a current state license.
