Job description

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Lab Technician to join our team on a Per-Diem basis.
The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for specimen collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical laboratory results in accordance with established standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Collection of blood and other specimens from adult, pediatric, and infant patients in accordance with hospital procedures
  • Performs clerical duties for the Laboratory
  • Performs skilled laboratory procedures, operates all equipment, and reports results in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Participates in the implementation of the quality assurance programs
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.


Position Requirements:

  • Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Licensure: Current MLT, CLT, ASCP Certification
  • Certification: Current BLS at hire
  • Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reports

Work Shift:

  • Per Diem, .01 FTE
  • Minimum of 2 shifts per month
