American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with STEMI call responsibilities requiring proximity to the facility.

Details
  • Cath Lab unit performing left and right diagnostic and interventional heart caths, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, Impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt table testing
  • Cares for STEMI patients with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • Uses IV pumps, groin and radial sheaths, Impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, Zoll monitors, and hemodynamic systems
  • Utilizes Epic for charting
  • Schedule is 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday, 3x12s totaling 36 hours per week
  • STEMI call required minimum one day per week and every 4th weekend
  • Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for call coverage
Requirements
  • Active RN license (IN or Compact)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Skilled in Impella operation, balloon pump operation, TEE, cardioversion, tilt table testing, and peripheral IV access
Additional Information
  • Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
  • Provides patient and family education related to STEMI care, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff
  • Mentors and precepts staff while participating in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
  • Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the facility to support STEMI call requirements
