Schedule: 20 hours/week | Monday–Friday | Flexible daily hours

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Laboratory Technician to support day-to-day laboratory operations. This is an entry-level position ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 0–3 years of laboratory experience in academia or industry. The successful candidate will assist in general lab upkeep, routine assays, equipment maintenance, and preparation for ongoing studies. Flexible hours are available for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform glassware washing (manual and automated methods)

  • Calibrate basic lab equipment (pH and conductivity meters)

  • Prepare reagents and buffer solutions

  • Assist with laboratory safety audits and 6S initiatives

  • Maintain inventory and conduct cleanouts of cold storage areas

  • Order and stock general lab supplies and receive shipments

  • Autoclave parts and manage packaging tasks

  • Review equipment and instrument logbooks

  • Support upkeep of lab analyzers and instruments (e.g., ViCell, NOVA FLEX2, AKTA Avant, HPLC, SoloVPE)

  • Help coordinate pipette calibrations, equipment troubleshooting, and repairs

  • Assist scientists with sampling, in-process testing, and routine assay execution

  • Complete weekly housekeeping and maintenance checklists

  • Contact vendors for quotes and lead times on study materials


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotech, or related life sciences field

  • 0–3 years of experience working in a laboratory setting (academic or industrial)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
