Job description

Job Summary
This position will support the overall laboratory operations for both the In Vivo and In Vitro teams in Westminster, CO.
Key Accountabilities
  • Set up, label, and/or organize sample collection materials
  • Store and organize lab supplies upon delivery
  • Sonicate gavage needles daily
  • Perform weekly scale validation
  • Perform autoclave, Advia, and plate washer maintenance as scheduled
  • Load/unload lab dishwasher as needed
  • Transfer tissues from fixative to storage solution
  • Assist with freezer and compound inventory
  • Assist with cryopowdering and weighing of tissues
  • Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Excel and other computer programs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years of research laboratory experience.
  • Bachelor's in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline

Working Conditions:
  • Position is predominantly a laboratory-based position
  • Some work will require PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to perform all physical aspects required of position including periodic lifting items up to 30 lbs. and moving racks or large items on wheels
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally

The hourly salary for this role is $21- $25 per hour. Salary will be commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
