Job Requirements: Associate's degree in medical laboratory science or technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required) 1 - 2 years' experience clinical in a related field (Preferred) American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification OR American Medical Technologists (AMT) is Required Job Overview: This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments.

Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.
