Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II Float to join our team in Pooler, GA.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 11:00pm with occasional weekends
Eligible for 2nd Shift differential
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
  • Encourage process improvements and best practices
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Resolve any production errors as requested by management
  • Research and resolve any production errors while escalating
  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
  • Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)

Additional Job Standards:
  • Be at least 21 years' old
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
