Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our dynamic team. The position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our information technology infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and networks across our various sites and partners nationally. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a 100% on site position located in Savanah Georgia up to 10% travel annually nationally including flying and driving to locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the security, integrity, and reliability of our systems and data.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and other IT equipment including infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Assist in IT projects from inception to completion, including but not limited to planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize IT resources and applications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance productivity and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and service providers
  • Other duties as assigned and or needed by the business/department.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Genuine passion for technology and computing.
  • Experience managing Proxmox clusters and setup, Ceph, and Samba file shares
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field or relevant certifications or years of experience in IT.
  • Strong technical knowledge and administering Linux Servers, Hybrid Windows server administration, network administration, Active Directory administration, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Server Management, Group policy, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.
  • Knowledge in IT project management methodologies and tools.
  • Networking knowledge of setup and maintain of equipment including but not limited to opnsense, Sonicwall, firezone and wireguard.
  • Running networking cable RJ-45/fiber.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • A good understanding of IT customer service.
  • Experience managing Proxmox/Vmware, Ceph, and Samba
  • Experience in Windows Desktop/Server and Linux based System Administration
