Job description

Job Summary: Performs clerical, computer data entry, and specimen processing functions in multiple areas of the laboratory. Actively interacts with patients, doctor’s offices, and physicians requiring proper phone etiquette and customer service abilities. Processes, prioritizes, and performs data entry of laboratory specimens in a high volume operation. Performs all clerical tasks associated with job responsibilities. Performs registration process by establishing a patient record with demographics and financial information, identifies insurance codes, diagnosis codes, obtain consents and obtaining authorizations. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Registration and clerical work experience with effective oral and interpersonal communication skills; or relevant experience performing similar Lab Aide duties; Computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Six months clinical laboratory experience; client services experience; registration experience in a hospital environment.

Salary Range: $23.10 - $30.58 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
SALARY RANGE INCLUDES EVENING SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL.
