A Certified Nursing Aide who excels in this role:

  • Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation.
  • Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings.
  • Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
  • Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
  • Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput.
  • Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
  • Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Staffing Model:

  • 14 rooms (Winchester, double occupancy available)

Care Model:

  • Collaborative team approach (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)

  • Education High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Certifications Certified Nursing Aide Certification (Required) AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Handle with Care certification preferred.
