Job description

Job Title: Line-X Spray Technician

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble vehicle system prototypes and production vehicles according to engineering drawings, schematics, layouts, and diagrams.
  • Assist in developing engineering solutions and conceptual design ideas for special-purpose vehicles.
  • Support product development activities by building, modifying, and refining vehicle systems and components.
  • Strip vehicles down to their core components and rebuild them to customer specifications, including interior and exterior systems.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical work on vehicles, including engine maintenance, suspension, brake systems, and interior trim.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Work on a variety of automotive platforms such as cars, trucks, ATVs, and watercraft vehicles, adapting to different configurations and requirements.
  • Follow structured processes and procedures to ensure parts and components are stored, handled, and installed correctly.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to meet project goals and technical requirements.
  • Work independently when required, managing tasks to meet specified schedules and project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety standards and shop guidelines.
  • Operate within project timelines and remain comfortable working under pressure to meet customer and program deadlines.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated Line-X Spray experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an automotive mechanic.
  • Hands-on experience producing or repairing automotive vehicles such as cars, trucks, ATVs, or watercraft vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical skills with experience in engine maintenance, suspension systems, brake systems, and interior automotive components.
  • Basic electrical skills applicable to automotive or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ability to understand and follow drawings, schematics, layouts, and diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload to meet specified schedules.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Comfort working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a project-based setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on Toyota trucks, including complete vehicle rebuilds.
  • Experience tearing apart and rebuilding engines or transmissions.
  • Prior experience in a vehicle systems or specialty vehicle environment.
  • Familiarity with working on unique or customized vehicles for specialized applications.
  • No formal certifications are required for this role.

All necessary tools and safety glasses are provided; you are discouraged from bringing personal tools. You must provide your own steel-toe shoes. The dress code includes jeans with no holes, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and a collared shirt. A company shirt will be provided, and when not wearing it, a collared shirt is required. Standard hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch and one 15-minute break.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
