Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer, Product Applications for the San Jose, CA location in the High-Performance Power Business -LDO.

Job Duties:

  • Provide engineering support for new and mature products.
  • Develop demonstration systems and reference designs.
  • Use bench measurement, simulation and math analysis techniques to evaluate reference designs, applications and products.
  • Create customer facing collateral including datasheets, design tools, simulation models, presentations, application notes, demos, and technical articles.
  • Develop and conduct product/application technical training and demonstrations for field personnel and customers.
  • Engage with marketing, customers and the sales organization to understand market, technical and business needs and the competitive landscape.
  • Define new products.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to solve challenging problems.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • MSEE with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated analog circuit and power electronics expertise that include LDOs, topologies, control theory and applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise analyzing and solving problems, including the use and development of math and simulation software.
  • Demonstrated expertise analyzing, designing and debugging LDO's.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one area of either industrial, automotive, communication or consumer applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise defining, releasing, marketing, and selling technical solutions of new, innovative products.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation that accepts responsibility and shows initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated expertise in written and verbal communication, including the ability to communicate with sales and applications in the field and customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and inter-personal skills.
