Job description

We are looking for employees that are excited and enthusiastic about working with children and interfacing with parents.

The ideal candidate has the following skills:

  • Reliable and can adhere to the scheduled days/times of work
  • Available between the hours of 3-8pm on most weekdays
  • Attention to detail
  • Team-oriented
  • Strong communication via email/phone/in-person
  • Enjoys working with children of all ages
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Strong ability to encourage children with praise and positive reinforcement
  • Experience with children preferred, not required

Job requirements include, but not limited to:

  • Working one-on-one with students between the ages of 3 - 9
  • Grading student math & reading homework using answer books
  • Managing the Kumon library
  • Communicating with parents and students on their needs and sharing progress updates
  • Organizing the orientation materials and schedule
  • Attending bi-weekly staff training

This position pays between $11.50 - $15/hour depending on qualifications. The days are Monday, Tuesdays, Thursday & Friday from 3-7pm and the pay schedule is once a month on the 1st of the month. Please only apply if you are comfortable with this.

COVID-19 considerations:
All Kumon employees will be provided with hand sanitizer and masks during center hours.
An air purifier will be running in the classroom during center hours.
Students will have a temp check prior to entering, will wear masks and use hand sanitizer.
