Role Description This full-time Math/Reading Tutor role is an on-site position based in Tampa, FL. The tutor will guide students through Kumon’s math and reading worksheets, provide individualized support, and monitor progress to ensure consistent skill development. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing student work, offering constructive feedback, and reinforcing foundational skills in a structured learning environment. The tutor will communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance, collaborate with center staff to maintain a positive and orderly classroom, and support administrative tasks such as organizing materials and recording attendance. This role plays a key part in fostering a motivating learning atmosphere that helps students build confidence and long-term academic independence.

Qualifications

  • Strong tutoring skills in math and reading, including experience with Reading Intervention and Literacy support.
  • Ability to conduct effective in-person and Online Tutoring sessions, adapting instructional methods to different learning styles.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and center staff.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings, such as classrooms, learning centers, or mentoring programs.
